For a sneak preview of the furniture that will soon be filtering through to the pages of the glossy magazines there is no better showcase than Salone del Mobile.
Held each year as part of Milan Fashion Week, the home furnishing expo offers an exclusive insight into the latest global trends.
Among the items on display is the Vignale Weekender Bag.
Made from luxury leather and featuring a contoured shape the bag recently won a prestigious iF Design award – considered the “Oscars” of the design world.
Far from being the brainchild of a super-expensive Italian fashion house, the Weekender is in fact the creation of the Ford design team that is behind a new concept car – a preview version that shows how a forthcoming production model could look – revealed for the first time in Milan.
The new Ford S-MAX Vignale Concept points towards Ford’s forthcoming Vignale range of exclusive vehicles and associated services, and is based on the company’s vision for the next generation of the seven-seater sports activity vehicle, the Ford S-MAX Concept.
Taking design cues from the Vignale range – the Weekender’s unique design hides fasteners just as a bonnet conceals a car’s inner workings – the Vignale Collection that is on show now at the Ford Vignale Lounge also includes an exclusive handbag and purse.
