Few people know our new Focus RS better than Ken Block.
But even he was surprised when we showed him the new race-car version of the Focus RS that he’ll be driving in the World Rallycross Championship – or WRX – this year.
“My mind was blown when they showed it to me in Dearborn a few months ago. I absolutely cannot wait to get behind the wheel and start testing,” Block said.
With around 600 PS of power and 0-60 mph acceleration in less than 2 seconds, the new Focus RS WRX car is purpose-built for the intense, loud and very fast championship where drivers battle over hard asphalt and loose gravel surfaces.
Block’s Hoonigan Racing Division teammate in the 2016 WRX season that starts in Portugal in April will be Norway’s Andreas Bakkerud.
