Lightbulb moment
February 25, 2015
How do you shine a light on Ford design when you’re competing for attention at one of the world’s biggest design fairs?
Maybe by building a light box the size of a house in a historic square?
That’s precisely what we’re doing at the Salone Del Mobile furniture exhibition this year, in Milan, Italy.
We’ve enlisted the help of Italian architect Attilio Stocchi to create a unique installation that immerses people in light in ways they’ve never before experienced, underlining how it is incorporated into the cars we design and build.
The installation – called “FAVILLA, to Every Light a Voice” – celebrates 2015 as the International Year of Light and Light-Based Technologies, and to coincide with the show, is open to the public April 14-19 in Piazza San Fedele.
Oh, and just in case you were wondering, FAVILLA is Italian for “spark”…
