Mustang and Transit do extreme sports

December 5, 2016

We’ve gone from one extreme to the other with our new sporty special edition Ford Mustang and Transit Custom models.

One is a high performance sports car with a 421 PS 5.0-litre V8 engine. The other offers some big numbers too – but more practical ones like load bay capacity and servicing intervals.

Mustang is now even meaner and more menacing with the Black Shadow Edition. It’s available in four colours, with details like the Pony emblem on the grille, the special alloy wheels and the stripes on the bonnet and body sides in brooding black.

As if the Mustang didn’t already turn enough heads, the new Blue Edition comes with Grabber Blue paint – specially designed to grab attention – and has cool racing stripes along the bonnet and roof.

And for the tradesman that wants to get noticed, the dynamic new Transit Custom Black Edition van offers four eye-catching colour schemes with contrasting roof, mirror caps, skid plate and side stripes, and unique black alloy wheels.

We’ve offered the Transit Custom Sport series van with signature twin bonnet stripes for a while, and now it can be ordered in even more bodystyles and with long and short wheelbases. The same goes for our Tourneo Custom people mover.

A new 170 PS Ford EcoBlue diesel engine for the Transit and Tourneo Custom means it’s not only the Mustang that can stake a claim to powerful performance – although we sure van drivers will be pleased to hear the new diesel engine offers better fuel efficiency.

We unveiled the new special editions at our special “Go Further” event in Cologne, Germany.
