50-year-old icon is van of the moment

April 14, 2015

It was in 1965 that the Beatles released Rubber Soul, a state funeral was held for wartime Prime Minister Winston Churchill… and the first Ford Transit hit the road.

Britain has never looked back, with our commercial vehicle range the best-selling ever since.

Now, 50 years on, our extended range of commercial vehicles, which includes the Transit, Transit Custom, Transit Courier, Ranger pickup and Fiesta Van, has established a new U.K. sales record.

In March, the 16,497 commercial vehicles sold outstripped any month that has gone before. For the first three months of the year we also were the best-selling commercial vehicle brand across Europe.

The full range of Transit vans is now on display at the NEC Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham.
