‘Colour Popping’ Sets Tone for Fiesta

Meet the striking new models that we are launching for a two-tone take on Fiesta.

Fiesta Red Edition and Fiesta Black Edition have been designed with an eye on “Colour-Popping”, the latest trend that is influencing everything from women’s fashion to tech.

“Colour-Popping” draws attention to a specific detail with vivid colour.

The two new Fiesta models – Race Red with black roof and Panther Black with red roof – feature contrasting colours for the mirrors, front bumper, and around the grille; and contrasting colours inside, on the steering wheel and seats.

“Striking two-tone designs are really in vogue and it’s a wider cultural trend that you can see in everything from smartphone covers to men’s shoes, which are increasingly offered in traditional dark colours but with bold, contrasting lining or stitching,” said John McLeod, chief designer, Vehicle Personalisation, Ford of Europe. “Customer desire for more vibrant, expressive styling is great news for designers; it gives the chance to really explore the boundaries and exploit a vehicle’s design.”

Head-turning in more ways than one, the Fiesta Red and Fiesta Black also offer more power-per-litre than supercars including a Bugatti Veyron thanks to a new, more powerful version of Ford’s multi-award-winning 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine. Both cars go on sale later this year.
