Every year, the movers and shakers from the mobile industry gather in Barcelona, Spain, to showcase technology we can expect to be using month, or even years down the line.
Held from March 2-5, Mobile World Congress is the industry’s largest exhibition, attracting more than 85,000 people, and 1,800 companies from around the world.
So what are we doing there?
Actually, Ford has been hitting the headlines with news from Mobile World Congress for a few years now.
Chairman Bill Ford highlighted the need to develop intelligent vehicles and transport systems as part of a “Blueprint for Mobility” as far back as 2012.
Since then we have also revealed technology including our voice-activated SYNC system that enables drivers to access apps, find restaurants, and make phone calls safely while keeping their eyes on the road and their hands on the wheel.
And we even showcased there our new B-MAX and Focus cars.
This year, we will be revealing more about our plan to change the way the world moves through innovation in connectivity, mobility, autonomous vehicles, customer experience and big data.
Already we have announced at the Consumer Electronics Show, in Las Vegas, 25 mobility experiments to take place worldwide.
So what’s next?
All will be revealed next week…. follow along live at #FordMWC
