Every year, more than 100,000 people from 200+ countries descend on Barcelona to witness the latest trends in the mobile industry.
Mobile World Congress is the world’s biggest mobile event, and this year we’re presenting our vision for the “City of Tomorrow” and revealing new connectivity technology.
Ken Washington, our vice president, Research and Advanced Engineering, will outline mobility challenges in urban environments, including gridlock and air pollution, and how we might overcome them to help people move about more easily today and in the future.
We will also lead a panel discussion on how businesses and cities can work together to develop mobility solutions, and discuss “The Connected vehicle in the City of Tomorrow” and “Learning about Disruption from Start-ups” with experts from Nokia, Vodafone and Waze.
It’s not all talk though. Visitors will be able to take a ride on the electric platform Carr-E, view a display of the folding electric tricycle TriCiti and experience a futuristic mobility concept via virtual reality.
We’ll be bringing you all the latest news from Ford Mobile World Congress from the minute it gets under way next Tuesday, February 27.
