Where do you launch a smartphone-friendly SUV?

February 23, 2016

At Mobile World Congress of course! It’s the car that kick-started our SUV revolution in Europe and now there’s a new version – meet the new Kuga

The big news is that it’s one of the models that will be available with SYNC 3 – our new communications and entertainment system that can even help you find good coffee.

All you need to say to SYNC 3 is “I need a coffee” and it will start the search. The system will also come back with local petrol stations and parking spaces when you say: “I need petrol,” and “I need to park”.

But it will also make driving and parking simpler using sophisticated technologies to park alongside other vehicles at the touch of a button, and – in an emergency – can help drivers reduce the impact of collisions, or avoid them altogether.

New Kuga – one of a line-up of three SUVs including the compact EcoSport and the large Edge SUV – is shown today for the first time at Mobile World Congress, in Barcelona.

“New Kuga offers cutting-edge new features and technologies that will help drivers stay connected, comfortable, safe and stylish on the road,” said Joe Bakaj, vice president, Product Development, Ford of Europe.

“The sophisticated redesign has given Kuga a fresh and modern feel, while SYNC 3 enables drivers to communicate with their vehicle and connected devices in seamless ways that would have seemed impossible just a few years ago.”
